The 2007 PITA Coating Conference, at which BTG will be presenting a paper, is to be held at a new venue for this event, Robinson College in the beautiful UK University city of Cambridge, easily accessible from all parts of Europe due to the close proximity of Stansted airport used by many of the budget airlines. Considered by many to be one of the three leading coating conferences of the world along with PTS and TAPPI, this event has a reputation of presenting leading edge technology in the field of paper and board coating. The title of the event recognises the importance of coated paper and board products at all stages of the supply chain and will explore key factors in the areas of equipment design, ingredients and formulations that contribute to efficiency and quality through those stages. The provisional programme is in place and full details of the event including how to register will be available on the PITA website www.pita.co.uk. The event commences with a welcome reception on the Monday evening and incorporates a conference dinner in addition to two full days of technical presentations and discussion.
