View from the top: interview with new CEO Leif Frilund
In February, Leif Frilund took up the reins at the company’s headquarters in Eclépens, Switzerland. He took a little time out of his hectic schedule visiting BTG offices and customers worldwide to speak to Digital UpTimes about his background, and his future vision for BTG.
BTG acquires US niche leader IPI
Integration of IPI’s innovative range of metering rods, rod beds and headbox sheet applications reinforces BTG’s position as a one-stop shop for top quality film application technologies.
Norske Skog Korea gets the gas out
One of the world’s largest newsprint mills with a production capacity of one million tons per year, Norske Skog Korea Jeonju solved its excess white water gas problems with a BTG Mütek™ analyzer, reducing its total energy bill and improving output quality.
Total consistency is path to productivity
The trend to optical consistency measurement is part of the broad and deep focus on increasing productivity across the board in the pulp and paper industry. And measuring total consistency is the key to doing optical measurements well.
Säffle / Herrsching
Last December, BTG announced that from January 1, 2007, a new centralized ordering and invoicing system for all BTG instruments would be in place in Säffle, Sweden, to streamline customer transactions with our new Instruments division (formerly BTG Pulp & Paper Sensors, Säffle/Sweden and BTG Mütek GmbH, Herrsching/Germany).
To reflect these recent organizational changes, in February 2007 BTG's Swedish and German subsidiaries changed their names to BTG Instruments AB, and BTG Instruments GmbH respectively.
