BTG is bringing its proven shear-stress viscosity measurement technology to its latest STRATUS Platform with VISC STRATUS. This means no more waiting for the lab: viscosity is measured continuously in the process line, so the process can run closer to target, with stable quality and lower raw material and energy costs.
Purpose-built for the glue kitchen, coating color preparation and size press starch, VISC STRATUS measures true viscosity inline and at real process temperature, across a wide 10–100,000 cP range. No manual sampling, no lab delay.
An inline viscosity transmitter, VISC STRATUS is built on a proven mechanical platform and moving-blade technology, with a decades-long track record in demanding starch and coating applications.

Those margins cost raw material and energy. VISC STRATUS closes this information gap with continuous inline measurement, free of sampling delay and operator-to-operator variation. The process can run closer to target, with stable quality and lower material and energy costs. The lab or cup measurement remains the reference, while VISC STRATUS takes care of continuous control.

Integration with BTG STRATUS Platform provides live viscosity values and advanced diagnostics accessible on any device. As with all BTG STRATUS instruments, VISC STRATUS is available in two versions. VISC STRATUS Standalone is configured, calibrated and monitored via the BTG STRATUS App. VISC STRATUS with Field Interface adds a full-color touchscreen for easy viewing of diagnostics across the process, with the App available as well. Both versions include the BTG Status Ring, a color-changing add-on for at-a-glance monitoring.
